Early Voting Starts Today, February 20 - March 1
Today marks the beginning of early voting for the March 5 Democratic and Republican primary elections! Early voting will run through March 1. Enter your address at www.Vote411.org to see a personalized sample ballot and compare candidates' responses to LWV questions.
The Libertarian party will choose candidates at conventions on March 12 (precinct) and March 16 (county). The Green party also uses conventions to select candidates. You may only participate in one party's selection process.
In this primary election, voters will choose Democratic and Republican party candidates for races such as:
- President
- U.S. Senator
- U.S. Representative
- Railroad Commissioner
- Texas Supreme Court Justice
- Texas Court of Criminal Appeals Judge
- Texas State Board of Education Member
- Texas State Senator
- Texas State Representative
- Texas Court of Appeals Justice
- District Judge
- County Commissioner
- County Sheriff
- County Tax Assessor-Collector
- County Constable
Additionally, both parties will elect county chairs and Republican voters will vote on non-binding propositions to advise their state party on the direction it should take.
